We oversee the entire land development process from site control to construction and ensure the successful financing of our solar and storage assets.

We source and structure financing to acquire solar and storage development assets from our own development portfolio or from other developers.

New York is on a path to achieving 70% renewable energy generation by 2030 and 100% by 2040, Carson Power is here to support that path towards these goals.

What is Community Solar & Storage?

 

  • Community Solar is a small to mid-size group of solar panels (up to 30 acres) with access to the local electricity grid. The power is produced by the solar panels and then fed into the local power grid. Local residents that are unable to install solar panels on their roofs or prefer not to have the ability to subscribe to a community solar farm to access the benefits of clean energy. 
  • Carson Power identifies suitable land for community solar and storage development and oversees all engineering and commercial aspects of development from site control to construction financing. Once construction financing is secured, our team works closely with our construction partners to get these assets off the ground and ensure their smooth operations for years to come.

What is Utility-Scale Solar & Storage?

 

  • Every year, the State of New York releases an RFP to procure Tier-1 Renewable Energy Credits to help the State get closer to achieving its goals. These large-scale projects interconnect to the transmission-level grid and can cover over 100 acres of land.
  • Carson Power identifies suitable land for large-scale renewable energy development and oversees all engineering and commercial aspects of development from site control to construction financing. Once construction financing is secured, our team works closely with our construction partners to get these assets off the ground and ensure their smooth operations for years to come.
